action electronics P94
« on: July 24, 2019, 06:46:45 pm »

Hi, I have some Action electronics equipment P103, P107, P94, P95, which i was going to put in a boat with two motors. I am thinking of putting this gear into a tug which has only one motor. My question is will this lot work on a single motor ? Im not very clued up with electronics, Many thanks

P94 is very good at mixing two motors, a complete waste of a relatively expensive item even if it worked.

Best to read the info of each device to see what its good at and sell or exchange what you can't use.
If you lost the instructions they can be found on component shop website

P94 will work OK with just one motor if you select Mode 1 (Tank Steering) and use just one of the receiver leads and one of the two motor output terminal blocks i.e. the one which responds to the Tx throttle commands. That said, it's rather a waste of resources unless you would prefer not to buy the better option, which would be a single motor ESC like the P80. As Andy says, the rest of the ACTion stuff would suit either option.

OK if you have a 5-pole motor (or more than 5 poles), but not suitable for 3-pole motors.
