Just a few shots showing furniture in early stages of constructions  using teak veneer.  The white seats are now painted and varnished ready for the cushions to be fitted more to follow. Sorry about the dirty bench

I have built most of the internal furniture but I cannot go any further with the internals until I have been to a dolls house fair in early April. I am now working on the fly bridge hand rails  just a few pictures to show how things are going.

HI  yesterday i did a flotation test with the fly bridge fitted and it is looking good. I have included some pictures  showing the planking fitted to the fly bridge area and other locations. This kit certainly needs some modifications  to reduce weight.

Pictures showing the fly bridge 60% complete before the paint can be applied. The chrome metal for the fly bridge was very brittle and the small hand rails were just like thick fuse wire no substance in the metal. All the metal parts for hand rails will be replaced with brass just something else I have had to scrap. Final pictures show the internal table and the rear deck section planked.

Very nice work Stan - you can be justifiably proud of your soldering - looks great. :-))

Also, the close up shots show attention to detail, such as the bolt heads at the bottom of some of the rails.

Ray.

Stan,

The makers of the "Kit" would not recognize your boat as the same boat that they sell !!.
Attention to Detail is amazing !.

Yesterday only small amount of work carried out. The fly bridge wheel proved a little tricky but after soldering the chrome wheel and making a jig to position the inner wheel all went OK. Other pictures table in white primer wind screen frame work with balsa spacers fitted this makes sure the distance all round is the same. Last picture the read deck section fully planked.

Just a few pictures from my build  First picture better shot of the wiring in roof for down lights various planking shots and finally the cabin sides. The inner cabin sides are laminated with teak veneer. Forgot to mention picture of the fly bridge in white primer now need to make the windscreen that will be fun. .[/size]

Picked up the bull by the horns new inner wall made from plastic card. This was then taped in place and outer side fitted and the window openings marked on the plastic card. The other side still to complete after the window openings are cut out  the inner wall be airbrushed similar to the teak finish.

Last night I posted a picture of a working table lamp. Tonight's pictures show it fitted  to the piece of furniture. Most of the furniture still needs a coat of gloss varnish
