Sunshine and warm at last so Grand banks has received two coats of satin varnish on the hull bottom. Hopefully this will protect the delicate matt finish while the model is in a temporary stand. Sorry about the date stamp just noticed it

HI Update on the G B just a few picture showing some of the hull fitting now in place. Still more to do hope to finish the hull by the end of the week. With a bit of luck the build should be completed early July.

The swim platform and anchor details are now fitted. Still a few items to install in the hull more pictures to follow. When the build is complete  I hope to give a summery on the highs and lows of building this model.

Good morning to you all. This morning I have decided to suspend any future pictures of construction of this model there is not a lot more to photograph. The build has been ongoing for just under two years and at times it nearly  went in the bin . I hope you have enjoyed my thread ? I will when the build is totally finished post some final pictures until then stay safe.

Stan. :(( :(( :(( :((  but by the end of July. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Hopefully my next builds will be in Military section.

Thank you to all who have followed my build thread. It certainly has been a challenge but I hope the final result will be worth all problems with the build. One final note I may have found a varnish to go over the chrome finish full details in my final review. Until them stay safe.

Stan this has been a fantastic build  :-))   Building boats and ships is so hard sometimes but when you add in to mix the problem of weight it becomes even harder.  I admire you determination to complete this tricky build.  Well done mate  :-)
