Hi all I have decided to get back in the garage and resume the build. I have got rid of the work mate erected a 6ft table and fitted a plastic screen to split the garage. Fitting the screen will allow me to work in a warm area during the cold spell.

Three pictures showing the table that will be used in future along with the new building board. The gas fire is just the job with the plastic screen down and finally the screen in the folded position. This combination allows work to carry on in the coldest of weather. Just be aware turn of the fire if using flammable  items .

Stan. last week cold weather made me feel like <:( <:( <:( <:( <:( now :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

HI Guys back on the build now just two pictures showing the planking fitted on the ply deck and the teak capping rails. Bending straight planks around curves  was a problem.

Stan. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) Glad to be back

Your not wrong there Stan, what a pain it is however, looks like you've made a fine job of it. :-))

A little more done today first pictures show the woodwork attached to the hull most of this will be painted over. Next pictures show the large amount of clips needed to hold the small trim fitted on the deck.

Todays work did not start until 3pm so not a lot done. The third capping rails is now in place two of the rear supports are now fitted  to the platform these have a brass pegs fitted to give extra strength. When these are fitted they will have pins fitted going into the hull again giving more strength.

Latest problem uncounted Humbrol white 34.  I have been using tins that are stamped matt 34 yesterday running low on these tins so I used a tin marked with a label matt 34. To my shock the shade was nothing like the earlier paint used so I now need to find tins stamped matt 34.

Well, I have been building model boats for nearly 40 years and like to think I am quite good at it, but your skill level is on a different plane Stan. Quite simply stunning....

I’m glad to be of assistance Barry :}

I’m really enjoying this build. I scratch built a Grand Banks about 10 years ago, and I was quite happy with my effort, but Stan puts mine to shame

Hi  I have now fitted the first hand rails around the hull and also the deck planking. A word of warning if you are buying a large amount Humbrol paint  and it is the same colour please make sure the batch numbers are the same. The numbers are on the bottom of the tin I  will now have to repaint  the cabin area  due to shade differences.

Just one picture showing one of the glues used by me. Stixall is used in the construction industry along with other industrial  glues they can used with good results.
