A few weeks ago I did say I would not post any more pictures of this model until complete . The work on the hull is finished so just a few pictures to show how it looks in bright sunshine enjoy.

I am please to say I have hopefully made one side of the cabin removable for any future access.  Also jus a few pictures showing parts of the superstructure masked off and ready for the respray.  I am having to do this due shade differences with Humbrol paint.  The two anchors are tensioned by attaching thin brass wire to the chains these are the  passed  through the hull and into the brass knuckle tighten up the screw job done.

Superb Stan, well on the road to being finished. Everything is coming together nicely for you with a not so
straight forwards build. She will look fantastic when the superstructure is fitted. :-)) :-)) :-))

Must agree with Rays comments....superb work  :-))  ...very lifelike images  O0

One question in my mind for a month or so Stan.......the Stdb water tap at the bow is brass, but the Port tap is chromed

The must be a reason for this.....salt water/fresh water...but not sure?

Yesterday I stated that work on the removable side was just about complete WRONG. Having checked the inner part of the cabin  It was in places to short. So today back to the drawing a new inner piece has been made and laminated with teak now drying overnight.

Stan. Feel like <:( <:( <:( <:( <:( <:( but I must finish this model. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Just a few pictures to show the ultimate in masking. This had to be done due shade problems with the paint I E the superstructure was not the same shade as the hull. The superstructure now looks like an Egyptian mummy I will post more picture when all the masking is removed.

HI the paint job is now complete just some work to be done with the brush. Next step varnish all the superstructure which will need a  small amount of masking to complete.

After many attempts I have finally made one side of the superstructure removable. This will allow to access to all the internal contents. The inner skin is glued to the outer skin the outer skin is held in place with magnets and a m4 bolt. Last group of picture show a little more detail added including a face mask I thought this would be quite appt seeing this model was built during covid 19.

Hi Stan,
In view of the masterwork you've achieved, have you ever thought about going into the house furnishing business. I'm sure the "Dragons" will back you! :-)) Oh, and no, I've not started on the sub-chaser yet!
Cheers

More work done today and those final bits are taking time. Just a few pictures showing the templates for the stand next stop my local kitchen fitter who for a small donation will cut them for me. Last pictures just started working on some crew figures.

Things are moving now flitting about like a butterfly from one thing to another. The name plate for the stand ordered the stand base has now had two coats of varnish applied by roller good finish picture later.

There is still a lot of small items to fit to complete the model I thought you might to see how it will look when she is complete. The next set of pictures will be when the model is complete. Hopefully I hope this model will be on display at the model show at Blackpool in October. :-))
