Anyone lucky enough to have a 3d printer - here's a give away of a water jet - looks good

I'd print it right now but it wants a subscription, so no thanks this time.  Looks good though, nice smooth plenum compared to allot out there.

Just checked it out, asking for a subscription here as well. Looking at your design there is one thing of concern, you have the impeller at the end of a relatively long unsupported shaft with just one bearing. Unless the impeller is perfectly balanced will this not allow it rub on the casing? The Graupner jets in their pilot boat have a second bearing behind the impeller.

Not my design - simply came across the link- and thought it might be of interest to some- criticise the designer if you like  - however if you have a 3d printer and the software for it should be easy enough to convert to two bearings.
I often do that with Corel on old plans that are mostly iffy - noticed  the jet does not have a weed grid either.

Go to rcgroups jetboat forum theres a free set of plans available for a jet pump and a lot of good info too plus they are upgrading and changing things to improve the design all the time.I have a very large 45 mm version someone else printed for me for free .
