Anteo tug brass gunwhale template
« on: August 09, 2019, 10:55:19 am »

Ok mastered cutting and shaping thin brass sheet. Got the windows 'sussed' for my scratch build of the Anteo tug.
Next question is Any one got any ideas where I can get the template for the brass strip that goes around the gunwhale of the tug.
Not overly importantbut would be nice to have a go at making it.

Take some printer paper, and have a go at pressing it to fit the area of placement.
Rough cut the paper along the impressions, leaving plenty of extra for the awkward fitting.
After the cut, re-fit the paper to the area of placement, and verify, or reinforce your folds and impressions.
Highlight the correct, or best folds and impressions with a pencil, and cut for fit.
Check your fit, and then trace that template onto card stock, or cardboard with similar thickness to your finished sheet.

Cut to fit,... Check your fit, ... refine the fit, ... trace onto brass sheet, and cut for assembly.
