The MFA 850's run about 9000 rpm on 12 volts.
Far to fast for a tug of this size.
800's would be better at 4500 ish.
I am sure there will be lots of advice for brushless motors on its way.

I used a pair of 900s in one that I built, it just about took off when on 12v, so I kept dropping a cell(1.2v) and ended up on 7.2v before I sold it. The one which I have just finished is on two Graupner 600s, on two cell Li- Pos and it is adequate, in fact it looks nice on the water, a multi racer it is not. nemesis

Krick 700 are ideal I have owned 3 Happy hunters and they were all on the 700 series motors running 12v,plenty of power to get you out of trouble and lads and lasses just remember one thing....you don't drive a ferrari at full throttle all the time do you, there is such a thing on your radio set and it is called a throttle !!!!!! Clue there

Sorry I made a boob, they are not 600s, I had another look and they are 700 bb turbos. So that ties in with the rest, nemesis
