Shannon Lifeboat Searchlight.
« on: August 30, 2019, 08:32:25 pm »

I would like to thank Kim Belcher for his help with technical questions I ask him.
This time it was the dimensions of the searchlight, which Kim has sent me.

If anybody else would like the dimensions, would they post there interest on here.
       Kim is willing to oblige.

                                      Bryan.

On RNLI lifeboats the searchlight is always kept stowed except when in use. Since I don't sail my boat at night, I have not used the one supplied with my Speedline Shannon kit.
If anyone building a Shannon wants mine pm me.

Kim is a diamond with his contribution to Shannon modelling but more so with RNLI fundraising :-))

All my spares have gone to good homes now, so nothing more to pass on. RNLI may gain a groat or 2 from the recipients.

I think I might have one of these sets of searchlight mouldings.  They were supplied to me for my pilot boat -completely different scale so useless for me, maybe not even applicable, same as most of the fittings in my kit!
