Kirklees Model Boat Club will be holding their final Open Day for 2019 on Sunday 8th September at Wilton Park, Bradford Road, Batley from 9 am until approximately 3.30 pm.  Free car parking, refreshments, raffle.  Trade support hopefully from Mountfleet Models and Morley 3D Models.  Free sailing all day and also static displays.  Trophy for the best KMBC warship.  Also on display military vehicles.  There is no IC allowed or high performance fast electrics.  Steam powered models will need up-to-date paperwork.  Boiler testing will not be carried out on the day.  There is also a classic car rally in the park that day??

Had a very enjoyable day at the Kirklees Show.
Lots of fantastic models.
Weather was as forecasted, sunny with light winds.
Lots of very nice Visitors and Members.
Looking forward to their next Event !!!!!!!!.

Our Open Day season has now finished for 2019.  Once again we had excellent weather.  There were visiting clubs from St Helens, King Lear, Potteries, Rawdon and Southport.  There was trade support from Mountfleet Models and the RNLI were selling goods to raise funds.  I am pleased to say that they raised through the sale of goods £160.  There was a nice display of all types of models.  There were some beautiful large yachts along with the yachts there were some excellent scale models.  To compliment the day there was a fantastic display of vintage cars and motorcycles making for an enjoyable day all round.  I would like to thank all clubs and traders who have attended our 3 Open Days throughout the year and of course without the support of our own members they wouldn't be so successful.  Once again our military vehicle section provided an excellent display of tanks and trucks.  We would like to thank Mayhem for their willingness to promote our events.  Pictures to follow.
