Hi, New to the forum.
I am completing an Victorian open steam launch from a hull off e-bay.
The hull is planked in oak and has various other hardwoods such as beech and applewood.
I'm sure it is a Lady Jane Victorian launch based on the plans from Vic Smeed .
The Builder made a lovely job of the build, so i wanted to fit a quality steam plant.
I approached Martin Baylis engineering directly and following my enquiry , a few weeks later a large box arrived.
this had the Kingdon Boiler and the Martin Baylis tripple together with gas tank, oil water seperating tank and pipework including a crankshaft driven water pump.I had sent Martin details of my installation, and everything fitted perfectly.
It still needs detailing but today i ran her in the bath to check ballast and she will certainly move.
I am Fairly new to Steam boats, i purchased a similar one to this last year complete and ready to run, with a Peter Baylis tripple (PB3), powered from a cheddar Pintail boiler.
