Well I had a great day and a quarter!
Met the penguin... sorry Klunk, or is it Peter now?
Met some old friends and some new ones. I felt privileged to have met Dave Wooley, learnt a lot from him over the years via the forum, Model Boats magazine, and recently Facebook.
I enjoyed the three hours I spent trying to build my Seaman tug kit, spent a lot more helping others with their boats and ended it all with slicing the top of my finger off when I demonstrated how to use plastic card sheet!
Plenty of people to speak to and plenty of items to buy, I went away with five plans (one by John Lambert, four by Norman Ough), a Matchbox kit of a HS125, and some radio gear.
Got to see Carl's latest Ferry, very smart looking, a few of Ron's latest releases, and Bob K's Polyphemus was back up and running.
Looking forward to next year, and I will be staying all three days this time! I promise... 47 Sqn just try to get in my way again!
A big thank you to Ron and his excellent team for a brilliant weekend and here's to the Christmas Open Weekend.
