non responding Spektrum DX6i (extreme beginner)
« on: September 28, 2019, 12:47:42 pm »

Hi guys, we have a used Spectrum DX6i, with a Spectrum AR6200 receiver, Mtroniks Viper Marine 15 ESC, Tornado battery pack and MTronics motor. I have some experience from 20 years ago, but things have moved on a bit since then !

I have the battery pack hooked up to the ESC, the motor also, these bits are impossible even for me to get wrong ! I have the receiver plugged into BATT/BIND, and my servo in AIL. There's a steady light on the receiver, and the usual turn-on glitch from the servo, but theres nothing else at all.

I have no bind plug, and am struggling to find real answers in the user manual for the radio or receiver, I believe theres a steady light ono the receiver if the transmitter is successfully connected, I seen to have this, it's a rather dull orange/red light inside the case of the receiver

hmmmm, I wonder, speed controller is a throttle ? does the servo lead do into the throttle port on the receiver ?

does anyone know where I'm going wrong ?

many thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,
To bind the Dx6i you need to power up the reciever with thye bind plug in.
Turn on the transmitter while holding the trainer switch on the left hand side.
the receiver should flash then settle to a firm light.
turn all off and emove bind plug.
to check, switch on transmitter then power up receiver.
It can take a while to rebind but all should be fine.

unfortunately I don't have a bind plug, nor an old servo lead from which to make one, do you think this is likely the issue ?

Thanks Bob, I think I'm still confused as to where the ESC plugs into the RX, does it go in THROTTLE because its a speed controller, surely it must ?
