Is anyone taking over speedline?
« on: September 30, 2019, 03:10:50 pm »

Is anyone aware of anyone taking over speedline?

I have somehow managed to misplace an entire stainless steel sheet J from the 1 /16 Severn.

I have called Speedline to be told its closed and that's it.

In this thread here https://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,63603.msg673832.html#msg673832 Speedline has said that he will help people with existing models with spares if he can.
Flundle at Speedline is still a member on here, if calling does not work, then you could try reaching out with a PM.

It is possible that Speedline may still be taken over but that is subject to further negotiations. If it happens I will let you know through these pages.

I still have most of the makings of a 1/12th Severn so I will put a kit together if anyone should want one. It will be the very last kit from Speedline, £1,000.

All the best

Hi y'all
I've just joined MBM and busy reading all the correspondence going on in these pages
I've just bought the bare bones of a Speedline Shannon, hull' deck and superstructure and following the build by CC which by the way is awesome!
I realize this post is over 12 months old but  Adrian are there any stanchions for  a 1/12 scale Shannon
So I'ii becoming back to this forum, I  think, in the next few months
Stay safe

So to make this clear  %)

The bolt size is around M0.8 with an across the flats dimension of around 1.4 at 1/12th scale - i.e. M10 x 17mm across the flats, at this scale 1.5 or 1.3mm across the flats is neither here or there, whereas scale bolts from a scale manufacturer will be as close as possible to the correct scale (but not perfectly).  ok2
