This past weekend I started construction on a 1/12th scale model of a 12m Victoria Class Lifeboat of the SSRS. The SSRS, or Sjöräddningssällskapet, is the Swedish Sea Rescue Society. They have 38 of these 38 knot / 14 ton, twin Waterjet powered Lifeboats in their fleet. The first one was built in 1997, and the most recent was completed in 2017. Luckily for me there is lots of info online to refer to for my build, including drawings. There is a General Arrangement drawing on the Swedeship website, which I got my local print shop to enlarge to 1/12 scale. The model will have a GRP hull and deck. I have a pair of Oceanworks WaterJets to install, and have ordered a pair of Brushless motors for power. So far I have just cut out the hull plug frames and mounted them on the build board.
