Finally time to apply some colour. Starting off with some RAL 3020 Red on the fender, which looks to be a pretty good match. I did get a response back from the Shipyard in Sweden who manufacture these boats, who provided the NCS colour codes, which i had to convert to RAL.

Undersides masked off and painting in progress. Hopefully a good result awaits....

Hi Charlie,

what is the fendering made of? It looks like balsa.

Kind regards,
Jürgen

Hi Juergen,
Balsa covered with GRP, should be lightweight and strong enough

Not much to report build wise, but I saw this morning that the Swedish Sea Rescue Society have announced their new class of lifeboat, which will possibly replace the Victoria Class that I’m building. Looks very nice…..next model perhaps?

The Gantry was another GRP Moulding. Should get some colours on the wheelhouse soon.

Wheelhouse colour scheme applied. Should be easy to spot on the water!
