Exploits of a German Submarine in WW1 Historical Film
« on: October 21, 2019, 06:52:52 PM »

There was a mention in today's Times of this film:

https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/1060023104

It is a British 1919 release of a 1917 film shot by the German Navy showing the cruise of U35 in the Mediterranean. It features a number of sinkings of British and other merchantmen, the former of whom invariably 'put up a splendid fight'.

Quite fascinating and a glimpse of a different world just over 100 years ago.

There are two reels, click on the second after watching the first.
