Yes it was a Rover 75 Estate. One of the nicest cars I have had. I could get several of my boats in it comfortably, unlike the  Mercedes convertible I now have.  Unfortunately it succumbed to the problem of living at the seaside. It rotted away underneath whilst the BMW design diesel engine was still superb at only 60,000 miles.

That was an old photo of course. Clever spotting the car lfrom such a small part.

Last off topic post. I don't know whether to be proud a disappointed with myself for recognising it, I could go 1 further and have a stab at the colour but I won't embarrass myself. +1 for the diesel, I have the diesel, albeit in the MG ZT, currently on 178,000 miles and only needed an alternator, fuel pump and general servicing.

Good luck with the boat sale!

Hi Martin, yes its been a long time hasn't it  :((   Unfortunately now a few months off ninety and no longer able to easily travel the 75 miles round trip to the lake at Llanberis, I have reluctantly given up and put my boats up for sale. Some of them have gone already and the others may be on their way soon.

Sad, but I've got a lot of good memories, particularly the Mayhem meetings at Wicksteed and of course the one at Llanberis. Nothing lasts for ever though does it ?   Thanks for all your work with Mayhem - its been good.
