It's not difficult, and it improves the toughness of the boat no end. Entirely optional though.

Well I have had the Titanic kit from around 1985-88 from the model shop inside Grosvenor precinct Chester, Bismark kit from around 1995 from the MS in Manchester and the Fleetscale Bissy from around the same period.  Just about ready to start I think.. %% . Dare you to ask Martin about His Bismark  !! :} :} :}

This week:

1. Ordered low viscosity epoxy didn't turn up from ebay seller.....   >>:-(

2. Reinforced epoxy hull join.... with more original epoxy!

3. Reinforce hull center line with wood strips.

4. Turn to next page in instructions.

5. Remove 'Reinforce hull center line with wood strips'.   {:-{

6. Put hole in hull! Repair said hole... both of them!

6. Assemble motor mount.

7. Cut myself free from motor mount.

8. Order Superglue de-bonder from Amazon.

9. Figure out running gear..... unable figure out running gear.

10. Put plasters on head wound.

11. Repair overhead video light support!

You have to suffer for your art - it's part of the fun.  Where's the challenge in building a kit where everything went right?

Go straight for the stabilit express!

...In my xperience the best place for anything from "gorilla" is left on the shop shelf or disposed of at the recycling centre!!

Is it filament printed parts in that kit. I can't quite make out from the pics? If so I find araldite / devcon epoxy, stabilit express and modelling or industrial CA stick well. The supermarket bottles of Loctite CA don't seem to hold for me.  Just a suggestion for later on, I'm printing more and more things now but still mixing with usual materials.

Have you bought out a glue shop, Martin. The Stabilit Express or Plastic welder will be strongest- both modified acrylic glues which will be stronger than the substrates once cured. They can pong a bit though.
