Really depends on the trawler size Tony, however the minimum would be

1. a wheel
2. a compass
3. a voice pipe to the engine room
4. a 1/2 empty steel mug of tea
5. a rope or chain to the steam whistle
6. a cronical pyramid cone shaped voice hailer  O0

Thanks for that Derek :o but perhaps I need to clarify things a bit.....

As far as I can see, almost all the steam trawlers of the period follow a pattern and size can vary around the 150ft. Deck layouts tend to be fairly consistent but I'm having problems with the wheelhouse layout and kit. For example, the attached pics show the wheel options possible but the photo is of Lydia Eva (Somewhat later) and the sketch is probably WW1, judging by the trawler to starboard. Which is more likely and the binnacle may have been an RN modification?

Found this pic of the Isle class trawler wheel house looking forward . Above the wheel indicator and forward of that the compass. I am not sure if this is any help.
