Pretty sure they're on eBay at the moment. I recognise them and I have one in my watch items (pilot boat if I recall). Not expensive, I just wondered about quality as not seen any builds yet. Look OK though.

Yes your right it's been a long time coming, but although they are entry level by the looks of things they are well made so hopefully a small boat that someone can add their own fittings too and make them into quite a nice entry into model boating, unfortunately other than a couple of Artesania Latina offerings there is not much around that is a basic start into building model boats so this is a much needed addition.

The kits and accessories can be found on my website, you can email direct from there and i can work out a price for postage. I think it is now possible to combine postage from ebay, I'm abit long in the tooth and struggle with ebay.

I  have added a new kit to my range this week, Blakeney its based on a Norfolk day fishing boat. I hope to add a build thread but am struggling to upload photos to this site.

I bought a MEDIUM sized stand for a 30" long boat but found it a tad small. My fault because I had left it too long to buy the larger size before they were out of stock. Delivery was very quick and postage/packing was appropriately priced.

Hi

I ordered both set's of stands on Wednesday of last week via e-bay when I got back home on Saturday they were sitting on the door mat, not a bad service I would say.

I too made a Bobby when i was a kid. My kits are based on memories of models i built in my youth, I have redrawn them, modified and i think improved them. HAKits rescue launch is bigger than the bobby and the hull is modified from the original. It is powered by a 2205/35 1500kv motor with a 30amp esc and 2s 1800 lipo 35mm prop.

Hello Paul,

Is there any chance of some part built pics, or some without the top hamper fitted?  Some folk like me like to take something and re-design other parts ourself. It helps see what the construction is like as they look very feasible as a base-case hull for modifying and tinkering with ontop.

Thanks,

Rich

Hello Rich, Most of my models are a hard chine hull and basicly use the same technique, they have a flat bottom on the chine line and then formers on the top and botom to form the hull shape. I start with a plan and side view and draw the formers from there using construction lines. If you let me know what you have in mind i can draw something for you aslong as its simple. (I still havn't worked out how to post pictures  yet on this site)

Hi Paul,

Nothing personal or to detract in any way.  Just looking for a bit more construction info as I see potential but looking to adopt topsides.  I think someone has to take the plunge and report.

Martin's vid is pretty good though!

....By the way on a tangent.  Fwoohah:  On your islander "kit".  Big model -love it!  I imagine there is enough space in there as I was tonight flying from CDG!
