Hi I wonder if any of you more experienced model builders could recomend me a book that could give me a grounding in Lofting, so I can work more with drawings rather than the ready made plans on offer,. I've googled it and I am starting to figure it out from various sources but would ideally enjoy a good read  rather that just the searching the interent .


My son has decided to build a Fishing vessel he works on and all that we can gain in info is a few drawings and a few fotos.
so I would like to increase my area of knowlage 
Now I come from a model aircraft background so some of the model boat building stuff is still on my to learn list  .


Any pointers to a good book would be most welcome .

This book is well-recommended.


Another approach (and perhaps more appropriate to the 21st century!?) would be to skill-up in CAD software, like Delftship, which can calculate centres-of-buoyancy, expand clinker diagrams and all sorts.
