A quick hello
« on: November 30, 2019, 12:35:42 pm »

Hi everyone . Just a quick line to introduce myself .
Having raced petrol and nitro cars thought I'd give boat building a go.
My Father made a billings ' St Canute ' model but sadly passed away before finishing it.
I used to love watching him at work ,not only on the model ,but as a tool maker he made all the tools he needed too.
Have been looking at the Mountfleet Cruiser tug but can't find much info or build pictures about them.
Is it a quality kit ?

Any info or links would be much appreciated .

I've got the Bangarth tug, Highlander Puffer, Coaster and Danny Boy..... all excellent kits once you've forgotten how much they cost but well worth it

There's a build thread for the ST Cruiser at

Overall a good kit with a few moulding faults but nothing that can't be quite easily fixed. It is a complex and detailed kit and might not be the best for your first boat. Perhaps something simpler might be better.Jim
