Try to go onto the page you want. Right click on your mouse. Go to Select all, click, then right click and copy. Then, open a word document, put the cursor top left and right click again, select paste.

Then you have the forum page as a word document. You need to save as somewhere on your computer or memory stick.

Hope this helps you. (Works on some web pages too)

  To save the page:

Wait for the whole page to load the whole page and email it to yourself
IE6 Mail - Send page or IE7 Page - Send page by email...

I just tested it and you can also paste it straight onto a blank email in MS Outlook. SO instead of opening the Word doc, you can selcet new email and then paste into the new mail. Then enter mail address where it is going and then send.

I waited for the whole page to load but it would appear that I cannot email it to myself, unless there is something wrong with my settings, I still can only receive a link,
Glenn your idea worked but it was that compressed it was un readable, could some one email it to me and see if that works..................

Roy if you have the word document sorted like Glenn described you can modify it to read.

highlight the whole text, click format then font and finally change the size of the text to a larger number. ie if it says 12 change to 16.

(not sure if that helps??)

And in word maybe also try to convert from portrait to landscape. Gives a wider working page.

If they are on MS Outlook simply close the mail, they should still be saved into your inbox for use later if needed.

I'm not familiar with that mail system. Maybe into word is the best way then save to your USB device for transport.

Sorry I can not be more helpful.

Martin,

That would be fine but I am still not sure if they can be saved from my email programme without loss, but if you could send them as an attachment that would be terrific........

If you're using Internet Explorer, open the web page, then select "File", then "Save As", save it somewhere you can find it again (eg desktop) - using default options (Web Page, complete [*.htm, *.html]). This will create a .htm or .html file - which is the main body of the webpage. It will also create a folder with the same name - containing a lot of loose files. If you save the .htm or html file, and the folder (containing the other files) - then transport and save them to the target computer, it should all work with the web formatting, photos etc intact. Just make sure that you save the htm(l) file, and the other folder, in the same folder / directory (eg save both on the desktop) of the target computer.

EDIT: Sorry, just noticed that the htm(l) file and the folder are automatically linked, so if you copy the file it will automatically copy the folder containing the content, link functionality etc.....

Roy
Roy,

According to Microsoft's write-up on IE7, "To maximize website viewing, the File menu is hidden by default. Most menu options can be accessed from the toolbar. To view the File menu simply click on the ALT key."
Although someone on another website mentioned ALT-F ??
Sorry, don't have a PC with IE7 here to try it out on.

I have saved the two pages perfectly, no problems all the suggestions and ideas you guys have offered have helped and solved the problem, the only one I then had was being able to save it to a computer which is not on the net, I have now found a way of doing that so therefore, between us all everything is now complete thank you, Mayhem and its Members have been again a wealth of information..........

Roy
Roy,

No problem. I just found a PC here with IE7 as well. ALT key shows the menu bar temporarily (so ALT-F is the shortcut for file menu - same as in "old" versions of IE), or the method Welsh Druid posted is more permanent (right click in the toolbar area, and "tick" the menu  bar option).
The "Send -> Page by email" option should work, but doesn't on my PC at the moment. Even if I have Outlook open it doesn't open a new email. Must look at it when I get a round tuit.....
