Drumbeat on brushless
« on: December 05, 2019, 08:09:47 pm »

After reading all your informative comments on my previous post, I have decided to install a brushless setup in the drumbeat of Devon. I’ve been doing some calculations and I’m looking at a 1400kv motor running on a 2s lipo (in the region of 4000mah). This should give me a no load rpm of 10360.
A few questions I have in mind are, is the 10360rpm still too much for my prop size of 40mm 4 blade, and will the motor I’m looking at have enough torque?

This will be a twin esc setup with separate battery packs.
This is the motor I am looking at, I have to keep the can diameter to a minimum.

I feel we have been here before %)

I would suggest about 950 to 1100kv, just going on past experience.
