New Photobucket Problem
« on: December 24, 2019, 07:59:30 am »

I am getting a new problem with Photobucket images. Using Firefox up until now they have been working OK but now when I. for example, look at the Bustler thread I get the image posted below. If I click on the image it takes me to an unblurred copy without the watermark but it doesn't help when scanning a thread. On my Android tablet I get no picture at all but just the familiar watermark.

Is it just me & is there a solution?

The old story, there is no such thing as a free lunch  :-X

The Photobucket people originally hosted zillions of images on someones Servers ......but made the Commercial decision to offer to maintain these as available to the person posting, however they would have to pay $$ for the service

The imgbb  people provide an excellent technical service where images on line can be enlarged to offer superb clarity for the viewer

I have no idea how long any WEB host can offer to maintain free storage for anyone?

A solution to this is home storage.....not without cost, buy with care, good value

I am aware of the disaster that was the Photobucket change of policy but with an add on to Firefox I have been able to view images in forums as usual. This blurred image & watermark are new and unwelcome.

I have never, & never will, put any of my images on Photobucket or any other cloud storage.
