Uh? Give it a try, you shouldnt have to retune anything. Blue tooth is just a connection protocol and as long as it's enabled on both devices, pairing should just happen.

I use a plug in Blue tooth unit into the audio out on the TV and a bluetooth headphones.  I just turn on the headphones hold down the on button and wait until the blue light comes on and it is paired and thats it.  There is no re-tuning involved.  Always do the same thing been using them for 3/4 years now.

Hmm! No retuning that I’m aware of. Once the headphones are paired (tuned) to the TV, that should be it. I use a pair with my phone and iPads and never had to pair them again

I have a Bluetooth speaker with my phone, it connects automatically when I turn on. Technically it is reconnecting, but the device is doing the work automatically, and a little voice in the machine tells me it is doing it.

I bought her indoors a set of bluetooth headphones to use with her laptop. It really annoys me when she runs sound when I am watching telly.
I still haven't managed to get the laptop to talk to the headphones. I really have trouble with multi-function buttons on anything, I just want one button - one function devices.

I use a Bluetooth mouse but all Bluetooth devices pair the same way. There can be problems with very old laptops if not then:

The laptop is only about 7 months old, so should be OK. I'll have a look at that link, thanks.

I just fell at the second hurdle. Turned 'phones on, but no idea how to get into pairing mode & the instructions are in Chinese.

On you computer press the windows symbol on you keyboard (the square divided into 4 parts normally at the bottom) and X at the same time - this brings up a menu. Left click on "Settings". In the search box type bluetooth and select "bluetooth & other device settings" You should now be able to select "add bluetooth or other device".

Select Buetooth in the computer window that appeared & follow any instructions.

Now on the headphones press the on/off button and hold for 10 seconds (this is a best guess as it varies between devices).

I should have added that holding down the on/off button on the headphones for a few (say 10) seconds is often used as an alternative to a specific bind button.
