1.5mm Cupro Nickel plate ( White Brass ).
« on: February 16, 2020, 09:52:16 pm »

Hi.

Is there a source or supplier of the above in the U.K. who will supply small orders ?
It is available from China, but with delivery problems from the far East at the moment, understandably.

Hi Frazer.
Many thanks for the link, they have just what I'm looking for but unfortunately not at a price that I can afford.
I need a piece of sheet 1mm thick 300mm X 50mm. Almost £40. Ouch  !!
Will have to use another metal, maybe Copper or Brass.

Think I'd just use some bras, much easier to get hold off. Id this for the window frames the post lost on the way to the platers? How about stainless steel sheet- you can polish it and bypass the cost of chroming.

Hi Subculture.
I don't need it for a new windscreen frame, will use Copper again, when, if, I get the insurance money from the carrier.
It's actually for the bow protecters, which I have to solder together whilst temporarily fitted to the hull.
Did this on my previous Riva and it worked out very well using the supplied Nickel plates.

We have a Nickel platers very near us, doesn't do Chrome tho'.
It's a shame, because I wouldn't have had send my frame away and get it lost but hey ho, s... happens.
Will follow your suggestion when the time comes.
Thanks Frazer.
