I was indeed the only one John, it did take Stav and I a year to get over it and put the mountain back together

SWMBO has swum the length of the lake many a time, I do not remember any midges, not saying there are none.

Believe me, Larry, there are midges! I spent an afternoon there - in the pouring rain - and I was attacked so often by the little blighters that it took three weeks for all the bites to subside.

You must have been unlucky or they must have followed you in the car DM. I almost lived in Llanberis for a summer, and have visited many times. Never a midge has bothered me.
