« on: February 07, 2020, 08:01:22 pm »

hi, all
the two 12v batteries i my wifes scooter are not giving the usual running time, i suspect one of the two batteries has a dead cell, so, question time,
Do i have to replace both with new ones or just work out which is under performing and replace that,

Hi Trucker
I would go for replacing them both, as if you only replace the duf one sooner than later you would have to replace the other one,

If you wife is registered disabled then you do not have to pay the VAT on the batteres.

That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

Hi Trucker

You can get a few disability aids vat free, all you need is the paperwork from the Works and Pensions saying that you are on the high level, fill in a form and off you go.

just buy the one battery that is bad....
on mobility scooter you often get just one bad battery as that how the circuits work. uses one to get it going and steady speed, but when you apply full power the next one jumps in.
so the start and low speed battery dies first..
keep away from mobilty shops. they are way way over priced for same stuff you can get in many other places
