Steve, Your build came out spectacularly. And I like the colors, but I'm a WW 2 fan. A really obscure subject that must trigger many questions. A wonderful job at saving a peice of history long forgotten.

Hi Steve excellent model of an unusual subject the detailing is really good , for the record the 'radiators' are called keel coolers here in the UK.

Thanks Derek.

Thanks Akira – that's a nice way of looking at it – preserving history.

Thanks Benny – that 0.33mm rod that caused the problems at the end was from a hobby shop in Edinburgh. You've probably had the same experience with it as I did.

Thanks Tafelspitz, I've been enjoying your Imara build. Plenty of good ideas on there that I can adapt into my future projects.

Thanks Jim, funny you should ask...
My bench is clear and ready for the next project. I'll start a new thread in the next few days. This one is another New Zealand tug, made out of wood. I'll be back in my happy place.

Finally got around to getting the USN hull numbers and applying them to the hull. They are also rub-downs from All-Out.

So now it's all finished – not exactly a tug, and not exactly good looking, but they were hard working, significant little vessels in their day, and deserve to be remembered.

A most unusual subject, very well researched and built, along with a very interesting historical write up.
Well impressed with your achievement. Congratulations Steve - you've pulled off a corker!
