Motors and steering gear all done. Quick test in the bath and all worked as it should.

this looks fantastic! would love to know the spec of the Hardware your using? i have a very upset Son who's identical lifeboat has stopped working for some unknown reason! all the research seems to be brush less motors/esc's etc but it all seems too big for this hull? would love a source of knowledge of how best to kit out replacement parts

Here a list of what I used :
2 x MABUCHI RK-370SD-5028 DC 3.7V-11.1V motors
2 x motor mounts
2x radioactive 300mm propshafts (will need cutting down)
Rubber prop coupling
20mm LH prop
Mtroniks 10 amp viper ESC
1 micro servo
1.6mm brass wire for steering linkages
2 small approx 15mm rudders
You will also need to replace the stock transmitter and reciver to many options to list !
And it's all powered by 1000mah 2s lipo.
All available from ebay and most well stocked hobby shops
