Speed Boat Brushed Motor 7.2v
« on: March 25, 2020, 11:54:46 am »

What could anyone recommend as a brushed motor for a 2ft long speed boat to give it some speed running on 7.2v battery?
Thanks
Dave

A 'standard' 540 motor should do it:

https://www.mfacomodrills.com/pdfs/RE540-1.pdf
https://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/graupner-speed-600-1793.html
https://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/Aeronaut-600-Race-Motor-AN7124_21.html#SID=2812

Sorry, missed the end of the quote.
It needs to be a 540 intended to run on the supplied voltage at or near its rated voltage.  I would think that the 540-1 would give anaemic performance, the aeronaut linked to would be a bit better, but the choice one is the graupner, sadly "unavailable" from Cornwall.
