« on: March 31, 2020, 05:01:57 pm »

Wheres the best place to buy larger amounts of resin started building a very large barge to tow with my tug and need a fair amount of resin to cover inside and out of it plus i need it for my new billings fairmount alpine kit. The modelshop sizes work out alot of money for what i need

These guys have an excellent reputation https://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/
I've used their lightweight glass cloth and it's equally as good as much more expensive brands.

I've used ezecoat mainly for sealing wood on the superstructure just before painting.  I found it to be okay as its simple to apply and cleans up with water.  I know that some here have used this with cloth with some good results but I prefer epoxy resin for that.

Try a company called Easy Composites, good range of resins.
