stick neutral zone
« on: May 05, 2020, 11:13:08 pm »

hi there  connected motors, to two esc's 'fusion aquapower'  and onto single channel on receiver ,, they work well , only problem is there is barely any dead zone on the stick, a slightest touch on the stick and the motors start to hum  as in about to turn ,
transmitter is a futaba 14SG model , is there anyway to make a more 'dead zone on the stick in neutral ? if that makes sense

In the instruction manual, there is a mention of "throttle trim around page 20, on page 68, in servo setup instructions, "dead band" gets a mention.
i don't have one, so just guessing.

As with most radios, the instructions are almost purely for flight, so need a lot of translating for boat use.
Deadband is usually a built in design feature of the ESC, which just does what it is told to do by the radio.  Older ESCs used to have a couple of adjustable pots to set range and deadband, that is now designed into the system software which decides what you are going to get.
