Thank you Ralf  :-)

Started today by applying far TOO MUCH filler to spend hours sanding, I love sanding  {-)  NOT

So a few beers later

I've used 1 oz cloth and only 1 coat is sufficient.
Tacked in place with dots of CA

Another day final sanding tomorrow. Then I can add all the rubbing strakes

After a couple of hours sanding I was most of the way there.
I decided to fair around the prop tube and make a demountable rudder shoe.
I'm waiting for 1.6mm SS csk screws

undersized screws for picture only

In my opinion I don't like this gunwale. In my mind if you're hauling nets up a stern ramp why would you use a gunwale that stuck out impeding smooth transition?

I intend to make from scratch and use a servo rod across the width of the slope as a smooth crossing

My solution to the above is 2.5mm brass rod.
My Danish counterpart also agrees the laser part is unsuitable and likes my solution  :-)

So on with strakes

As many hours as it remains enjoyable  O0

I've seen other modellers getting this area wrong, clearly not studied the plan view drawing.

3 to 4kg at a pure guess -based on it being more blocky than I thought.

I can't believe how quick you put this together though. Mojo is strong with this one! (Yoda type voice!).

  {-) {-)

Just about 2 weeks today? I figured about four to complete but finishing is always harder than anticipated.

No idea of colours yet , not even putting primer on. I'm swaying towards an Emerald green or Proxxon

Just made one of the trawl boards?? Bill  %%

Firstly some billings failures

Pre drilled plinth  {-)

At great personal expense  :-))

Supplied brass fittings and dowel considerably different diameter for top section. Solution 2mm carbon rod

Spot light recess is 6mm and does not fit the lense, drilled out to 6.5mm

A series of solutions

Firstly the ventilation grill to engine room
Made from styrene lapboard

Funnel cut and soldered

Locating stud

Rope guides drilled and tapped 2mm

Fixed from below with self tappers into pilot holes

Front bollards. Will require a shim at the base to allow for slope of deck

A bit of dry fitting

I've ordered a Diesel sound unit from Leeds model shop  :-))  So I need to fit a speaker. It will be set to 6 cylinders

Any tips or pictures of yours on this "baffle board" ?

Hi,

I just sent you a message re the sound board.

I'm still impressed how quickly you can churn things out!  If it helps re: colours heres a shot from visiting friends at La Tremblade last summer when I took my mum over to my place in france.  Thought I'd taken more pictures of the fishing boats but aparently not -anyhow, they like their bright colours (this is an oyster boat though, but same idea -No rust!)...

I don't think I showed the removable rudder shoe? 1.6mm ss machine screws. This time I've left a gap (subtle) to allow for paint on top of the resin coat.

Looking very good. I'll be glassing the inside of my restoration soon, the glass & resin has arrived, but I have another project on the bench for the next few days.

Hi,

The finish boat in the photo shown in reply #66 is absolutely cracking ~ it's a shame it has to be painted. Excellent work.
