Is it the Deansmarine Kidd? If so what about asking Deansmarine if they could complete it for you or if they know someone who could?

Hi yes, it is a Deans kit, I was advised by a reliable source to try this Forum first, as they are unavailable at this time to do the build. I am still trying to get through to Deans Marine to ask this question. I expect he is very busy !! with all the kits people will have bought

Hi Wilf,  This question has come up in the past and I don't think the response was that good then, the trouble is these models are large and highly detailed, and take hundreds of hours to complete even if it's just a static model, I've built several Deans warships and all have taken 500 hundred hours plus, even if someone did it for say half the minimum wage it's still more than the model is worth, of course when you are building for yourself as a hobby/pastime you don't count the hours taken but building as a commission it becomes a whole new mind set.  You may find someone who will take it on for the fun of it but I would doubt it,  I do wish you luck.

Really wish I could be more help, maybe you could try a local boat club in the North East and see if they could help out?

The problem you have is anyone doing the build for you, will either want paying or will throw it together quickly.

        Premier ship models advertise a bespoke service including  restoration, and commissioning services, they advertise in Model Boats magazine every month. It must be worth giving them a call, won't be cheap, they're professional  model makers. It can't hurt to call them.

....Are Premier Ship Models even located in the western hemisphere?  Are they not based out Asia direction?  They hide their address well apart from a London tel number.  No obvious UK registered address or vat number on the UK part of website which is a bit suspicious.

There is a company just south of me here in Inverness that does commissions, but I can't find the details at the moment, perhaps they stopped now.  Same thing though, they won't be cheap compared to hobby prices.

I have a model of USS Kidd I built years ago, it was a deans kit, with SIRMAR fittings, he could have that at a very reasonable price.

All sorry for the delay in updates. I was able to purchase the Aquacraft ship, which now solves all my problems !I appreciate all the help and advice, and I hope I can rely on this further as I now intend to makes some upgrades to the ships fittings to bring them ore in line with the original. I have attached two screen shots as an example of why I want to upgrade. I will let you decide which looks better. So any ways that I can improve the deck fittings for the ship would be appreciated
