Hi Tassie I have purchased 1/24 figures from Shapeways and they are very good.
But take care material can be fragile.

I have crew figures from Shapeways in a couple of different scales.  Very good quality.  Some sanding of mold stickups is necessary.

Luis will work with you via email to get just the right figures for you.  Moveable arms, different caps, PFD's. etc.  He lives in Spain.

I bought one from a fellow on Facebook, even the little bezel on his watch was distinct... but then I stuck him in a wheelhouse where you can't see much of him!
