Robbe Rox 4786 Inrunner motor
« on: May 22, 2020, 12:20:08 pm »

Hi guys, a friend of mine is having a problem with the above motor. It seems to be trying to go both
ways at the same time. He has tried different settings brake no brake forward, forward & reverse
Different timing settings all settings give the same result.
The esc runs other motors no problem. The motor in question is old but has never been used, any ideas?

Can you check that all wires are undamaged and one is not faulty. Check using a multimeter set to low resistance measuring (I checked a motor on the 200 ohm setting), you should get identical resistance between any pair of plugs. Alternatively use the continuity checker function and check for an open circuit betweeen two of the plugs.

Hi Jim, the motor windings have been tested and are within .01 ohm of each other.
So back to the drawing board {:-{
I must add it has been connected to both planet & spectrum tx,s no difference in performance.

Hi Pete, I thought the 3656 no,s were the can size.
