Hi all, I watched Absolutely Fabulous the movie late last night.  It really got me laughing with very well known ladies sending themselves up.

 It was a case of spot the actress!  Sadly June Whifield died 2 years ago, but otherwise have there ever been more "stars" in a film before?   I think it was a "be in it or miss it" call to the ladies.

Yea! love Kingsman watched it a few days ago.  I have seen the follow ups and enjoyed Eggsy he does a great job.

 Did you know he also played Eddy in Eddy the Eagle?  Got to be the most famous bloke for coming last!

6/10 Some funny bits but .... plodding narrative, very little imagination.    {:-{

Just came across Box sets on Sky '' Dog Fights'' the claim of the latest CGI. up to the viewer but no complaints.The first one I'm watching is MiG alley very interesting interlinked with  actual footage .Each event about 45mins. Covers a vast range of events including the Bismarck's Demise. Pearl harbour oh and the Flying Tigers not with John Wayne I should think :-)

I'm on a nostalgia trip as far as TV viewing goes at present, watching "Only Fools and Horses", and "To the Manor Born" on Britbox. Probably somewhat politically incorrect by modern standards, but they're both still good for a laugh O0

Yes, all good clean fun Peter, thanks for the reminder - I've still got a few DVD boxed sets lying unopened (Xmas presents) that I really must get around to watching. Porridge, It ain't half hot Mum, The good life, The Royle Family, and a couple of more serious ones - Das Boot and Band of Brothers  :-))

Ray, The Good Life is on Britbox too, and it’s also on my “to watch” list. Another show I’ve been watching is the 2020 remake of “All Creatures Great and Small”. I loved the original, and wondered if I would like the new version, but both my wife and I are really enjoying it. The beautiful Yorkshire Dales scenery is one of the keys to our enjoyment, and the characters are well portrayed by the current actors. We were, and still are, big fans of the original series, but we are thoroughly appreciating the new production.

Like most freeview films, and dodgy kebabs, it will return.
Although, having looked at https://www.tvguide.co.uk/mobile/channellisting.asp?ch=742#485252213 it might be that it has had its ration of showings over the past month or so.

Hi all, I watched Antiques Roadshow yesterday and they were at Windermere featuring several lake boats and including model boats sailing on the small lake.
The show seems a bit tame lately.  Are we running out of antiques?

  What amuses me is the way the customers  appear to be so emotionally attached to some bit of old crut that has festered in the back of a damp shed for yonks and the restoration of such reduces them to tears.  The earlier programmes were more worthy.

Hi prety much the same comments come to mind for some of the items that arrive in the Repair Shop.  I enjoy the expertise of the restorers but some of the things arriving and sorry tales leave me cold.

Agreed, and agreed (both preceding posts).  Perhaps I lack in sophistication, but I am simultaneously both amazed and dismayed at the worth put on tat.
My favourite recollection was the old furniture and fittings guy who travelled across the country and was delighted to grab a few folding chairs at £15 apiece.
The exact same price I got my brand new ones for from Ikea a few years earlier.  The current price for the up to date version is £20.  A bit more wood in the design, rather darker varnish.  But I expect that his customers regard Ikea as well beneath their aspirations.
