I can't help with specific instructions as I'm not familiar with the exact model but in general there are two types of smoke generators:
1) Those that use an ultrasonic membrane which vaporizes ordinary (soft) water into a mist which is then blown out by a fan. These typically need a 24 volt supply and may include a rectifier within the body to provide this. Another clue.
2) Those that use some variation of "Smoke Oil/Fog Fluid. These use a heating element of some description which vaporizes the liquid and may also use a small fan to blow the mist/smoke out the funnel. These are typically 6 volt or 12 volts and typically draw more current but the "smoke" tends to be thicker.
If you can take it apart and see if its a membrane with a rectifier or a heating element this would give you some guidance.
Hope this may assist
Cheers
