Good news that Mountfield are to resurrect the Model Slipway range. I might return to the hobby eventually if they re introduce the Conserver with the original plasticard rather than the wood they seem to favour and it is priced well.

It was an enjoyable weekend and great to meet up with so many like minded people again. Well done to the organizers.

Mountfleet will be doing some of the Slipway kits. Unfortunately not the Maggie M, the one boat in the range I would like to have.

Right just to give you an idea of how many hours go into setting up a show.

Stav started off from home at 730 am on thursday and arrived at Blackpool at 915 at 930 he was busy off loading the van and trailer ready to set up.

At Around 10am Neil Howard Pritchard arrived closely followed by Nigel Davies and the 3 of them started setting up the Main Hall by 5pm it was done....Iain arrived at around 6ish and they set about putting up the Pool  and had water flowing into it at around 830pm.The lads left ||Iain setting up his stand at around 10ish.

Stavros met up with he lads from the Blackpool and Fleetwood clubs at around 8ish on Friday and they put out all the chairs in the Main hall and set up the tables for the bring and buy in the ballroom.

I KNOW FOR A FACT the Stav is endebited to Everyone for their assistance in setting up the show without everyones Help there would have NOT been a show.....FACT

Clubs and traders arrived at around 11am and started setting up their stalls so to speak.

Iain and Stavros eventually got out of the Hall around 1130pm.

The lads were back in the hall at 8am on show day 1  They got out of it around 6pm 2 hours after the show ended.

Show day 2 Iain and Stav were back in there for 8am and eventually got out around 10pm that's 6 Hours after everyone had gone home.

Putting things into perspective Iain had walked a total of 200 miles over the weekend Stavros due to a medical condition got away lightly as he was on a mobility scooter but did complain(does'nt he always HA HA) of a Numb Bum !!!!!!!

Stavros eventually got home at 4pm on Monday after driving home and emptying his van of show and Iain arrived Home 5pm after meetings with Hotel Management arranging Next years dates.

We are well chuffed the show was well recieved and enjoyed by all that attended and are already forward planning for NEXT years one......Watch this space.

After the show - today I visited both the Lytham RNLI shop and the Blackpool one, and gave them a cheque for £540 each.  £1080 was the proceeds from the Bring n Buy.
Many thanks to all of those who gave of their time and effort manning the stall, and to Iain for letting it happen.

 Fantastic!   :-)) :-)) :-))

Its quite an impressive effort to see, especially so in the current circumstances!

...might I ask please if the chap with the fittings and guns has a website, or just a mobile number?  It looks like he has half a box full of HIAB cranes which are of interest?

Thanks,

Rich

Hi all
This was our first time in Blackpool with the Model Boat Association Dover, 650 mile round trip.
All I can say is that my room was comfortable and clean, it looked as if it had been recently decorated. The bathroom was also clean and very acceptable with a really good hot shower. We took the breakfast and evening meal option which was really good, plenty to eat and very tasty.
No complaints from us...a really nice show.

Yes, thanks -just thought checking if they had anything posted on-line first look or any feedback as they seemed to have an awful lot of parts on offer.
