Model Slipway Assurance
« on: June 06, 2020, 05:56:09 PM »

For Sale

Model Slipway Assurance - Military Version

Brand new in box, as it arrived to me

I am struggling to find the time to start this project so would like it to go to a good home

Ideal Lockdown Project

Comes with Action Electronics Components that I purchased from a fellow modeller at the time:-

P19 Battery Eliminator BEC
P95 Indicator Fuseboard
P80 Speed Controller

Kit new costs £359 plus the Electronics which new come to around £60

Collection is obviously ideal but I can post at cost which is around £25

Looking for £325 for the lot plus p&p but would consider a sensible offer

Am I asking too much for this?

What is a fair price?

No itís a good price BUT the problem just now is the lack of spare money.
People on furlough, others who donít know if they have a job.

Itís just a poor time at the moment.

Dave,
It is a fair price but times are just so unpredictable that most people i know are tightening their belts for the rest of the year.
Price good, timing not good.

Hi. I dont know if this helps but what you appear to have according to the box showing the hull and build instructions is the MSW Envoy class tug not the Assurance. The build booklet in the picture clearly states Envoy class. Id be surprised if MSW used or shipped build instructions for an Envoy in an Assurance kit.
The Envoy has two fibre glass components for the main wheelhouse superstructure whereas the Assurance kit is built up plasticard but otherwise, are very similar. Hope this helps!
PS, Id love to buy this as Im still gutted I sold my Envoy but sadly dont have the spare cash. Unless you want to do a straight kit swap for a MSW Gry Maritha?
