Procat 2.4g conversion help

(1/2) > >>

Stretch:

I have a angling technics procat that im am upgrading to a 2.4g radio system. I have the original circuit board out wich has the receiver directly soldered to it. I know its possible to desolder the original receiver and solder servo leads in so it can be used with a new receiver but im abit unsure of the pin out. Has anyone else done this mod or can help me in any way? Much thanks

Stretch:
Would it be a good idea to put some photos up so you guys can see what im working with?

hi Stretch, how the the procat going? im doing one myself and to be honest ive probably gone a bit overboard with it.
got all the wiring done esc`s, mixer and rx etc. waiting for some parts to arrive to finish it off.

Im getting o  ok with it. I ended up going over the top and ripped out all electronics and started again. Im just waiting for some leds to turn up today and i can button it back up. What transmitter and receiver you using?

steve62:
same as that, the hull had been damaged by the previous owner who`d try to repair the electronics without success, Im new to this rc stuff but have got the bug now, like you Ive  ripped out the old mother board and started again, I wont bore you with the details but with reguard to the transmitter and reciever I went for the Microzone Mc6a 6 channel comes as a pair from Howes models, (been a good firm to deal with)
Im currently waiting for an rx controlled on/off switch to power the lighting setup and some new screws and nuts to replace the stupid security bolts that hold the weed guards on. (if you need some I`ll have thousands of em come the weekend {-) ) Ive also shortened the bait flap and will be fitting a new servo to release it.
If I can I`ll send you some pics.
