Hello

Thank you also for the latest photos. Delightful and helpful shots.  It just goes to show that certain publications cannot be trusted. I will be returning the book for a refund.

In those excellent photos, I could be mistaken but when chequer plate is painted the paint does seem to come of in well used areas and I think there a faint indications of it,

the crewman cleaning the barrel, in his shadow there appears to be spots at regular distancing where paint may be missing, and in other areas to his left going back towards the gun.

The plating on the left in the next picture seems to have very faint lines parallel to the plate again suggesting chequer.

The last picture again seems to indicate faint parallel lines on the decking.

Some more pictures. I think one of the problems with the photos is the graininess, I believe some of the texture on the deck is a result of anti-slip paint, and possibly the parallel lines could just be seams of the deck plate?  There may always be this tiny element of doubt.

Great photos thank you for sharing!

Also photos of printed images often show the printing effect of fots etc.

Hello Graham

Thank you for advising of the website. Fascinating and I have not got to the point of operating doors yet. Working torpedoes! Working smoke cans.  They are certainly having fun with the project!
