BEIER Sound / Light Module
« on: July 16, 2020, 11:38:49 pm »

Hi guys!
ok i went ahead and purchased the BEIER Sound unit along with the speaker, control pot & USB cable etc! https://www.beier-electronic.de/modellbau/produkte/usm-rc-2/usm-rc-2.php

Anyway what i want to ask is if there is anyone here that owns this module that can give me some pointers on setting it up etc! I have an idea as I've done some research on the net etc, I want it to simulate the TID tug engine sound from idle up to full speed etc.
Cheers :)

There is an English version of the Operating Manual on the website.

Hi tizdaz,

I have several of these devices - what specifically do you need help with?

As an aside - I am not far off duplicating all functions/hardware for about 1/25th of the cost!

Hey :)
Received it today & I've had a mess about with the software. But what I want is sound of a TID tug (or as near as possible!) But I want it so that the more speed I give the faster the engine sounds & also an idle speed etc. How would I do this & where would I get the sound files from :) ?
Also, I would be very interested in the ones your making so keep me updated! ;)

Hi guys im trying to figure out how to add this to my current setup which has a mister unit board that also runs off the ESC & RX Throttle channel!
How would i do this as both of these modules use same connections!?

1st pic is my mister unit board, as you can see it has 3 connectors & the second pic is off the BEIER wiring diagram, again showing the ESC connection & also a patch cable going to the RX, so both these modules are connected the same way, but how do i connect them BOTH at same time, im guessing i need to use a splitter cable or cables somewhere in the wiring!?

Hi Tizdaz,

there a couple of way but the easiest option would be a y lead from the Rx to sound unit and the other end to my board.
Or connect the output of the sound unit in the smoker board and then plug in the esc with male to male cable.
Cheers
