Not 100% done, but enough to make a side by side comparison with the Visby.
Two more ferries on my list to do.

Made some antennas for the forward mast. Off to work for two weeks now so a break from the building.
All the best!

Hello!
Finally the ice melted at my test facility so I could make the maiden run. It was a bit choppy but she handled it really well. I cant understand why for some period they built twin props/single rudder vessels as it really affects the maneuverability. Thanks to tank steering and a somewhat underpowered bowthruster it's still manageable in the wind gusts.
Next test in calmer conditions so I can test her full speed, and docking with the automooring.
All the best!

She appears to sit very well in the water.

Looking forward to seeing the auto-docking in action again.  :-))

Thank you Ray!
Yes the mooring require that the servos with the magnets are placed correctly inside the hull and its difficult to get this 100% right until full-scale trials.

It was a calm and sunny morning so I took the opportunity to make a second trial. I did some testing with moving the ballast around, time will tell how I fix it. The docking went ok, both magnets connected but I think I'll have to adjust the starboard one slightly.
All the best!

Thank you both for your comments and interest!
Even though it wouldn't stand a close inspection I really like her looks and performance on the water, and being as small as she is at 1:200 scale.

Thanks Kevin!
Yes the automooring consists of a servo manoeuvred magnet in the hull that meets a magnet on the quayside. This is the third boat that I have installed it in and they all use the same dock.
All the best!

i i only build statics, so as for the dockside does that mean there is a standard distance between the magnets on the shore side, or do you mean the magnet also move position in the hull to match shore side , sorry for  stoooopid question

Not a stupid question!
The quayside magnet is a fixed position so the one in the hull must be placed to match. I have one long ferry that only dock stern first and she has a magnet on an extension of the dock. The other two use the magnet seen on the picture (hidden in the fender element).
