Hi George,
What sort do you want because there are loads of different formats. Probably the best source for military rhibs is the US Army, because they use a lot or, if you could use semi-military, the US Coastguard have several and they are more colourful. A lot of the plans for both are available and there tend to be loads of photos etc. on-line.

I built one of these several years ago for a pair of outboards I had hanging around and it was a stonker. What surprised me the most is that I ended up exporting it from here in the UK to a chap in America.

George - have you tried this Facebook Group? It contains hundreds of RC Boat plans of all descriptions, so definitely worth searching

Charlie, Yes I am a member of that FB site also and I posted the same question there, do far no reply there.
Thought I would cast my question out farther to see if I get any replies. You were the first responders, Thank You.

Hi,
I made a 1/12 scale Pacific 24 RIB based on the Scale warship GA drawings for there resin 1/96 & 1/72 kits. The hull was a heavily modified MBD RIB GRE hull.
My model runs using a 28mm water jet unit.

Hi George,
The model is a GRE hull from a company that is no longer trading. However if you contact ]https://www.scalewarship.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=635&tag=RIB[ they may be able to help with a GA drawing. This what I used a long with photos from versus web sites to make scratch build the deck, console, seats, mods to the GRE hull and fine detailing.

Sorry can’t be more helpful.

Hi George,
The basic USCG boat is made by Safemarine and is used by the US military under the name of Defender and there are loads of photos of the boats being used around Africa etc.
This is a source that seem to have a 3D model on line but I've never used them so have no idea whet they're like.https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-coast-guard-rb-hs-boat-model/316034
This next is a general article which may give some ideas. https://www.warboats.org/future.htm
This is a Tactical Patrol Boat which may/may not be outboard driven but I haven't been able to find a pic of the back end!

Hi TonyH
Thanks for your reply. This is what I have in mind, with a little militarization, https://www.google.ca/search?source=univ&tbm=isch&q=damen+outboard+Rhib+975&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi77_-uh5frAhXLlHIEHQYkDCsQsAR6BAgKEAE&biw=1076&bih=741
Now ALL I need is a 3D file of this to have a friend of mine print this out for me. Any ideas?

Grabcad is most likely for visual or in game rendering. Something to use in a Video Game, or Virtual experience.
Thingiverse will have 3d printable files.
Here is that same Rhib, but it is a waterline model.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3572659

It does say one complete, so maybe it has a full hull option.

Someone on ebay is selling RIB mouldings -I think they would be a good base for lots of boats depending on scale.  I'd have one but I know on ebay theyr'e advertised at something like 600% percent mark-up from when they were advertised here (same pictures of the parts) and auction only, so not tempted.

...funny you shoud say that, as I wrote my post I couldn't find them either.  They have selling them for weeks if not a month plus.  They are obviously the Atlantic Mouldings RIB's passed on in the FS section here.  Fair play if someone got 10 sets for £150 then sold each for £75 after!  I would have offered no more than £30-35 plus postage knowing it was already doubling the investment but ebay listing was already set at £75!

Hello RST
Strange, I just went through the F/S section here and I can`t find anything under RIB Mouldings. I do see the company that you mention but they are selling another item only. Was that an fairly new post you saw OR an old one?

Sorry George, I can't find the post here from Atlantic Mouldings either now.  Hope it's not been deleted  It was a different thread / product from what I see you just repied to.  I just hate it when sales threads are deleted as they are often very useful references afterwards.  If you found the post you can scale roughly from the pictures though.

Sorry george but what?  If you have one idea of a dimension, you can simply scale from everything else or something you can see -ish or close and close one eye, unless of course you want exact.  It's a perfectly simple and normal thing to do otherwise, if you can dial a tel number then it's not much more complicated.

I just googled "DAMEN RIB" and it came up with quite a few hits -good old DAMEN -if you can think of a boat, they probably already built one so far if not they have a design for one and already have a .pdf sketch of a potential boat already to download.  I just downloaded their "1200" spec sheet and the hull lines are pretty simpe to create from the outline drawing?  It's almost there in basics from the get go.

Hi RST
Yes Damen rhib 975 is the one I`m interested in as well. Looking to see if there is anyone with a 3D file available so I can have it printed and go from there.
 Been looking.
