Viper legacy bait bot motors and esc’
« on: August 11, 2020, 10:04:41 pm »

Hi all I’m new on here
I need some help
I’ve seen a few posts on here about the viper bait boats
What motors are available to change the motors in my boat as ones not working and the other sounds pretty rough
Obviously it’s a twin motor boat it has mtronics 20A esc fitted
I have an esc that’s getting quite hot the other other seems fine would this be due to the motor not working ??

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance 👍👍👍

Simplest way to check the motors is to disconnect them from their ESC and connect direct to the battery.  They either work right or they dont.  A dud motor trying to draw more than it should could cause its ESC to overheat.  This might be a motor problem, it might be a drive line problem.

Hi, did you get any response from the contact given on your other thread?  It seems like the same question is being asked twice?

It was a link from a 7 year old thread.  Times move on.
