Losi Esc
« on: August 17, 2020, 06:29:18 pm »

Hello
Has any member tried programming one of these? The instructions seem simple but I can still only get the motor to run in one direction and since it is in a sub it could be embarrassing, spent the whole afternoon trying to solve the problem and now have RSA from pressing buttons and on the edge of throwing the thing away and the sub its attached too.
Think I am turning into a totally unreasonable old git.

Are you sure this has forward and reverse and which model esc is it? Some race car and boat esc's do not have reverse function.

Thank you for your reply, it has a reverse system if you move the transmitter trim to the max it will operate the motor at low revs which since it is the pump out I have a sub which may go down but will take a week to come up.

If a programming card is availaable, it isn't really an option.  Button pressing kind of sort of works in theory, but from reading the experiences of others in a simlar situation, the right programming card does the job properly.  Usually first go.

Hi not sure whether all resolved but with one of my esc's I have to switch on Rx first with throttle in neutral then the Rx.
Then full forward on Tx throttle and then reverse, wait a moment and then the esc operates with the off in the neutral position on the Tx.  The esc bleeps a bit while this is going on, which is a little reassuring.

I had a similar problem with a E S C from a certain area press this press that no program card finally I sold it for a large loss. My next step was to buy a item made in the uk easy to set up. I do have some E S C not from the uk and are easy to use.
